Anhand der D10 wurde das Prinzip des doppelt wirkenden Zylinders gezeigt. Somit ergab sich parallel zur D8 eine Maschine gleicher Abmaße, aber deutlich mehr Leistung. Bei den allerersten Modellen hat Wilesco noch auf ein Abdampfrohr verzichtet und der Abdampf musste sich seinen Weg aus dem Zylinder suchen.
Auch die D10 wurde vereinzelt zu Werbemodellen. Wohl für die Kunden, welche eine "richtige" Dampfmaschine haben wollten. Allerdings findet man hier deutlich weniger verschiedene Ausführungen als bei der D6.
Ein besonderes Sammlerstück ist die D10/60. Dieses Modell wurde zum 60-jährigen Jubiläum der Dampfmaschinen-Produktion von Wilesco aufgelegt. Aber schon 2 Jahre später wurde die D10/100 zum Firmenjubiläum eingeführt und die D10/60 wieder eingestellt.

The principle of the double-acting cylinder was demonstrated using the D10. This resulted in a machine of the same dimensions but significantly more power parallel to the D8. In the very first models, Wilesco did not have an exhaust pipe and the exhaust steam had to find its way out of the cylinder.
The D10 was also occasionally turned into advertising models. Probably for customers who wanted a "real" steam engine. However, there are significantly fewer different versions here than with the D6.
A special collector's item is the D10/60. This model was launched to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Wilesco's steam engine production. But just 2 years later, the D10/100 was introduced for the company anniversary and the D10/60 was discontinued.
Die D10 ist meiner kenntnis nach auch die einzige Maschine, welche speziell für den arabischen Raum modifiziert wurde. Es gibt Varianten der D10el, welche mit Aufklebern in arabischer Schrift und auch entsprechender Bedienungsanleitung ausgeliefert wurden.

To my knowledge, the D10 is also the only machine that has been specially modified for the Arab region. There are variants of the D10el, which were delivered with stickers in Arabic script and also the corresponding operating instructions.
Auch hatten diese Maschinen ein Dampfventil, welches den normalen D10 leider immer verwehrt blieb.

Für einige Export-Länder wurde die D10 auch mit 2 Sicherheitsventilen ausgestattet.

Die D10 wurde ab 2004 auch in Form eines Bausatzes angeboten. Bei den stationären Dampfmaschinen hat ein Bausatz immer die Nomenklatur der fertigen Maschine minus 1. Daher heißt der Bausatz "D9".
