Die D52 ist eigentlich eine anders aufgebaute D10. Kessel, Zylinder und Schwungrad sind identisch zu dem kleinen stationären Modell. Für den Einbau in Schiffsmodelle wurde jedoch ein neues Kesselhaus in Glattblech und auch ein neuer Aggregateträger eingeführt.
Von Anfang an gehörte zum Lieferumfang der Schiffs-Dampfmaschine auch ein entsprechendes Stevenrohr, eine Welle und eine Schiffsschraube. Seit ca. 2020 ist dann der der Lieferumfang auf die Dampfmaschine an sich reduziert worden.

After the D48 and D52, the D49 was added to the range in 1994 as the third steam engine for model ships. Like the D48, this 2-cylinder machine offers the advantage that the machine is self-starting. This is important if you want to steer the ship around on the lake.
