D24 / D242

Die D24  befand sich seit Beginn der Dampfmaschinenproduktion 1950 im Programm bei Wilesco. Mit hart-gelötetem Kessel unter der Kesselverkleidung in Verbindung mit dem Aggregat der D20 ergibt sich beeindruckend viel Leistung.

2019 entschied Wilesco die Produktion der D24 einzustellen. Immerhin war es die letzte Maschine mit hart-gelötetem Kessel in der Produktion und damit entsprechend aufwändig. Nach einigen Diskussionen wurde dann glücklicherweise entscheiden die D24 mit einem Sondermodell zu verabschieden. So wurde eine auf 70 Stück (=Bauzeit der D24 in Jahren) limitierte Version aufgelegt, welche in der Farbgebung an die erste Version der D24 erinnern soll.

The D24 has been in the Wilesco range since steam engine production began in 1950. With a hard-soldered boiler under the shell casing in connection with the aggregate of the D20, there is an impressive amount of power.

In 2019, Wilesco decided to stop production of the D24. After all, it was the last machine with a hard-soldered boiler in production and was therefore correspondingly complex. Fortunately, after some discussions, it was decided to say goodbye to the D24 with a special model. A version limited to 70 pieces (= construction time of the D24 in years) was launched, which is intended to remind the first version of the D24 in terms of color.
