Eine weitere 2-Zylinder für Dirk - another Twin for Dirk

Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit mal eine 2-Zylinder im Stil einer 60er-Jahre Wilesco für meinen Dampffreund Dirk gebaut. Diese hat ihm offensichtlich gefallen. Denn nun kam Dirk und fragte mich, ob ich ihm nicht eine weitere 2-Zylinder bauen könne... aber mit 2 Schwungrädern?

Some time ago I built a 2-cylinder in the style of a 1960s Wilesco for my steam friend Dirk. He obviously liked this one. Because now Dirk came and asked me if I could build him another 2-cylinder... but with 2 flywheels?

Gefragt - getan! Dirk hatte noch eine relativ ungeliebte D21 in seiner Sammlung und so wurde diese als Teilespender genommen. Dazu noch eine Grundplatte der D161, das linke Aggregat der D32, etwas Blech und ein bisschen Handgeschick und schon steht sie da.

Asked - done! Dirk still had a relatively unloved D21 in his collection and so it was used as a parts donor. Add to that a base plate from the D161, the left unit from the D32, some sheet metal and a bit of manual skill and there you have it.

In den Freiraum zwischen den Aggregateplatten passte dann auch noch hervorragend ein M66, sodass wir auch das thema Elektrizität integrieren konnten. Die Spannung kann über zwei Polklemmen hinter dem Kesselhaus abgenommen werden.

An M66 fit perfectly into the space between the unit plates, so we could also integrate the topic of electricity. The voltage can be taken off via two pole terminals behind the boiler house.

Die Speisepumpe befindet sich nun hinten links auf der Grunplatte.
