Also on the D430 Wilesco made some changes!
Wir alle kennen das Lokomobil D430. Und bis zu einer Frage eines Sammler-Kollegen hatte ich an diesem Modell noch keine Veränderungen über die Jahre wahrgenommen.

We all know the locomobile D430. And until a collectors-friend sent me a question Idid not realize that also on this model Wilesco made some changes over the years.
Zum Glück hatte ich vor Kurzem ein weiteres Lokomobil zum Restaurieren gekauft, an welchem man die Unterschiede sehen kann.

Fortunately I bought another old locomobile short ago, which can show us the differences.
Die Unterschiede sind beim Schornstein und der vorderen Kesselverkleidung auszumachen. (links jeweils das vermutlich ältere Modell)

The differences can be found at the smoke stack and the front of the boiler.
(the supposed older one always on the left side.)
Guckt man sich die Front genauer an, dann sieht man an dem wahrscheinlich jüngeren Modell eine Hutmutter zur Befestigung der Kesselverkleidung und eine deutlich größere Aufnahme des Kamins.

Looking in detail you find a nut to hold the front of the boiler and a somehow bigger base of the smoke stack on the supposed younger model.
Zusätzlich gibt es an dem jüngeren Modell eine Art Federlasche, um den oberen teil hochgestellt zu fixieren.

In addition to that you can find a fixation on the younger model to hold the upper part of the smoke stack in upright position.
Nimmt man die vordere Abdeckung ab offenbaren sich noch mehr Unterschiede: bei den jüngeren Modellen gibt es eine Kondensatkammer wie bei den Traktoren auch. Bei den älteren Modellen wird der Abdampf durch einen Schlauch direkt an den Boden des Kamins geführt. Der Kamin ist mit einem langen Bolzen direkt mit der Achse verschraubt und der vordere Deckel wird an diesem Bolzen geklemmt.

If you take off the front cover you can find more differences: the younger model has a smoke chamber as part of the Boiler. At the older model the exhaust gets directly into the bottom of the smoke stack. The stack is mounted with a Long bolt directly to the front axle. And the front cover is just clamped to that bolt.
Bei dem jüngeren Modell kann der Kamin abgenommen werden, bei dem neueren Modell nicht. Trotzdem sind die Abmessungen von Ober- und Unterteil beider Modelle identisch.

At the younger model the smoke stack can be taken off, on the latest model not. Beside all those differences the dinmensions of the lower and the upper part of the smoke stack are the same.
