Hat irgendwer solch eine D8 schon mal gesehen?
Did anybody see such a D8 before?
Ich habe ja schon einige seltene Wilesco-Modelle gesehen. Aber eine solche D8 vorher noch nie. Nicht nur, dass das Kesselhaus kein Ziegelsteinmuster hat....

I saw a lot of different special Wilesco-models in the past. But such a D8 never ever. Not only that the Boiler house comes along without brig-pattern...
Die Maschine ist komplett unlackiert. Der Kessel, die Öffnungen des Kesselhauses, die Dampfleitungen und ein paar Kleinteile sind aus Messing gefertigt. Der Rest ist unlackiertes Blech.

The machine is completely unpainted. The boiler, the openings of the boiler house, the steam pipes and a few small parts are made of brass. The rest is unpainted sheet metal.
Auch an der Unterseite sind keinerlei Lackreste erkennbar.

Es ist noch besser: an der Unterseite erkennt man den original Wilesco-Prüfstempel. Somit ist diese Maschine tatsächlich von Wilesco in dieser Form gebaut worden. Anlass und Stückzahl wird aber wohl immer ein Geheimnis bleiben.

It is even better: at the bottom you can see the original Wilesco test punch. Thus, this machine has actually been built by Wilesco in this form. The occasion and number of pieces will, however, always remain a mystery.
