Kataloge 1969 und 1972 verglichen / catalogs out of 1969 and 1972 in comparison

Durch einen Dampffreund aus den Niederlanden habe ich eine Kopie des Wilesco-Kataloges aus dem Jahre 1972 bekommen können. Somit bin ich in der Lage diesen detailliert mit meinem Exemplar von 1969 zu vergleichen. Der Katalog von 1969 ist in den Bildern immer links, der von 1972 immer rechts abgebildet.

As a steam-friend out of the netherlands gave me a copy of his 1972 Wilesco-cataolg, I am able to compare that in detail to my 1969-version.

In the following the 1969-version is shown on the left, the 1972 on the right.

Vom Layout abgesehen, findet man auf Seite 1 keine gravierenden Unterschiede. Auch der text ist identisch. Klar zu erkennen ist jedoch die Angabe der Jahre (1969 unten links auf der Seite, 1972 prominent oben links).

From the layout aside, you will find on page 1 no major differences. Even the text is identical. But the indication of the years can clearly be seen (1969 the bottom left of the page 1972 prominently in the top left).

Seite 2 ist eine der interessantesten: hier taucht 1972 dann zusätzlich die D6 als Variante der D5 auf. Die D6 ist baugleich mit der D5, hat nur zusätzlich ein Wasserstandsglas vorne im Kessel.

Page 2 is one of the most interesting: in 1972 in addition the D6 as a variant of the D5 appeared . The D6 is identical to the D5, but a glass gauge came additionally in the front of the boiler.

Seite 7 ist aus Sicht der mobilen Dampfmaschinen ein Highlight: hier kommt als Ergänzung zur Walze D36 noch der Dampftraktor D40 neu in das Programm.

Seite 9 ist komplett unterschiedlich. Alles was 1969 auf Seite 9 an Antriebsmodellen gezeigt wird, ist im Katalog 1972 auf Seite 10 zu finden. 1972 wurde jedoch noch Platz für eine weitere Dampfmaschine gebraucht: die D52. Somit muss diese Maschine zwischen 1970 und 1972 eingeführt worden sein.

Page 9 is completely different. All driven models shown in 1969 on page 9 , can be found in 1972 on page 10. 1972 it seems Wilesco needed space for another steam engine: the D52. Thus, this machine must be introduced 1970-1972.

Seite 10 zeigt 1972 dann die Modelle, welche 1969 noch auf Seite 9 dargestellt waren. Allerdings ist in 1972 keine flexible Welle M58 mehr im Angebot. Somit muss dieses modell zwischen 1970 und 1972 eingestellt worden sein.
